Styled after the early 60's Cal Custom finned aluminium oil pan. This is a very nice die cast polished aluminium 5-quart system oil pan that fits all 86' - Up 305-350 Small Block Chevrolet engines and most passenger car chassis and many others using the "drivers side" dip stick blocks in a hot rod. Excellent sealing with this heavy block flange and sharp looking in any application.

FITS ALL 86' - UP CHEVY V-8's WITH DRIVERS SIDE DIPSTICK. WITH 1 PIECE REAR MAIN SEAL.

THIS PAN IS FULLY RIBBED, AND HAS A FIVE QUART CAPACITY. THE QUALITY OF THE PAN IS VERY GOOD. AS THE PICTURES CLEARLY SHOW.

THE BENEFITS ARE MANY WHEN RUNNING AN ALUMINIUM OIL PAN. ALUMINIUM OIL PANS DISSIPATE THE HEAT FROM THE OIL FAR BETTER THAN A STEEL PAN. THE RIBBED FINS ALSO ASSIST IN THE REMOVAL OF HEAT. FEW REALISE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO KEEP THE OIL TEMP AS LOW AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS THE REASON MANY CARS STARTED USING RIBBED ALUMINIUM OIL PANS YEARS AGO. THIS PAN ALSO LOOKS GREAT COMPARED TO STEEL PANS.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, IS THE FACT THAT THIS TYPE PAN WILL SEAL BETTER THAN A STEEL PAN. SHEET METAL PANS ARE USUALLY FAR FROM STRAIGHT IN THE RAIL AREA AND LEAKING OR SWEATING OIL AROUND THE FLANGE IS USUALLY THE RESULT.

THIS PAN DOES HAVE A SIMPLE OIL SPLASH DIVIDER IN THE PAN TO REDUCE MOVEMENT OF THE OIL WHEN ACCELERATING FORWARD, AND FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, THIS PAN WEIGHS APPROX. 1LB LESS THAN THE OEM STEEL PAN.

NOTICE THE THICK FLANGE AND BOSS AREA. THIS PAN WILL SEAL VERY WELL.AS FOR THE FINISH, IT'S SHOW FINISH.  THE MAIN BENEFITS OF AN ALUMINIUM PAN CANNOT BE IGNORED, AS THEY CONTRIBUTE TO THE PERFORMANCE AND LIFE EXPECTANCY OF THE ENGINE.
