This pump will fit most cars from 1961 to 1976 that used the GM Saginaw style pump with a bolt on pulley. You can use this on many other years if you have the correct brackets that apply to this style pump. This was actually the most common pump style used on GM and Ford vehicles in this period. It has the 5/8" keyed shaft for the pulley. As you can see in the pictures the mounting holes are in the same place as the OEM pump. The nut to hold the pulley on the shaft is included but does not include the pulley. The quality of the pump is beyond compare.
Our Power steering pumps are set to 1200 psi. If you are using a Mustang or Ford steering system, it is recommended that you also purchase our pressure reducing kit to bring the pressure down to 800 psi. The higher pressure will make your steering too sensitive at highway speeds.
The pump contains a small amount of assembly oil only and must be drained and filled with the proper amount of Oil for your application.The system must be properly flushed and cleaned before pump installation for warranty purposes.
